The 1970 Camaro Z/28 chose handling over brute force. Introduced in February 1970 with an all-new body, it carried forward the Z/28 name that began as a package built to qualify the Camaro for Trans-Am racing.

Under the hood was a 350 cubic inch LT-1 V8 rated at 360 horsepower, with solid lifters, high compression and a willingness to rev. A four-speed manual was the favored gearbox, and the car rode on a stiffer suspension and wide tires.

How rare is the 1970 Camaro Z/28?

Fewer than 9,000 were sold in 1970, and the second-generation body, with its long hood and low roof, still looks fresh. Drivers who want a classic that handles corners as well as straights often put the Z/28 near the top of their list.
