About Classic Car Tales
Classic Car Tales is an independent English-language blog about the American cars people still turn around to look at: the tailfin cruisers of the 1950s, the pony cars and muscle cars of the 1960s, and the colorful survivors of the 1970s.
What we cover
Each story focuses on one model. We explain how it came about, what powered it, why it mattered and what collectors should know today. Our scope is the cars that earned the widest following in the United States between 1950 and 1980, from the Bel Air and Thunderbird to the Mustang, GTO and Hemi 'Cuda.
How we write
Our articles are written to be readable for newcomers and still useful to enthusiasts. We aim to keep specifications and dates accurate, we say when numbers are approximate, and we correct mistakes when readers point them out. You can reach us on the contact page.
